Lehigh Valley, PA (February 7, 2020)-The Housing Association and Development Corporation (HADC) presented its sub-campaign “500 W. Liberty St. Open House & Dedication” to inaugurate its new rental properties. The sub-campaign “500 W. Liberty St. Open House & Dedication” is the first campaign of the 2020 Fundraising campaigns named the Fifth Decade. The Fifth Decade is the 12-month Parent Campaign with several targeted sub-campaigns to raise operational funds, general funds and in-kind donations for the purpose of increasing capacity and efficiency. The value of Fifth Decade (all the campaigns together) is targeted at $1,000,000.
The Housing Association and Development Corporation’s mission is to “build a sustainable community”, which has been a priority for 40 years now as it enters its fifth decade.
The open house took place from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. at 531 W. Liberty St., Allentown, PA 18102. Attendees toured the new properties, met HADC’s board members, and made personal donations. Also, light refreshments were served. The dedication event took place from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Lehigh Conference of Churches located at 457 W. Allen St., Allentown, PA 18102. The dedication event was hosted by the Lehigh Conference of Churches, which provided with music and a ceremony honoring the new properties. The ribbon-cutting ceremony also took place at the dedication event.
T-shirts were available for sale and personal donations were also accepted.
The Housing Association and Development Corporation celebrates the ongoing revitalization of Allentown’s commercial center with the mission of increasing capacity, strengthen community, and impact the quality of life in its mission “To Build a Sustainable Community”.
